The Chemistry & Sustainability of Construction Materials
Essential Questions
a. How does the structure of matter on the atomic, molecular, microscopic and macroscopic levels determine its physical, chemical and biological properties with emphasis on their use in building construction?
b.How do the design of a building, selection of building materials, construction process and use of a building affect the overall sustainability of a building project and the user experience in the building?

Stormwater Management Plans
Reflection:
All construction sites require a Stormwater Management Plan(SWMP). I learned that they are required because it is meant to help protect the environment from runoff, pollution, and erosion. This can be done through different processes and materials, including: Stabilizing soil, disturbing ground as little as possible, using plants, erosion control blankets, mulching, bonded fiber matrices and turf reinforcements. All of this is to protect the soil as it is the most likely place a runoff could occur.
This could include learning a new software program or new skills in a program you were familiar with, learning how to work better in a group or how you can avoid certain pitfalls of group work in the future, learning how to budget time or money on a project etc. Be specific and show the growth you made as a person/student through the work you’ve done.

- Question 2: What new skills, dispositions, or lessons did you learn from this project?
